Keep an eye on your production with MDA.

Automatically recorded. Real-time capable. Fully integrated. The MDA solution for modern manufacturing companies.

Your advantages with GNT MDA

Machine data acquisition in real time – automated and secure

With machine data acquisition (MDA) from GNT Systems, you can increase the transparency and efficiency of your production processes. By connecting your machines directly, you can automatically record running times, production signals, downtimes and statuses – in real time, precisely and tamper-proof. This allows you to create the technological basis for Industry 4.0, IoT monitoring and sustainable production optimization.

How modern MDA works with GNT Systems

Your machines continuously send data – automatically via the control system (PLC) or manually supplemented by the worker using a terminal, function key or barcode scanner. This data flows directly into the MDC system, where it is processed, visualized and evaluated – centrally via the MDC server and fully integrated into the MES.

Typical data types:

  • Machine status (production, set-up, malfunction, standstill)
  • IO/NIO quantities and shift output
  • Availability and terms
  • Resource allocation and order reference

MDA – Compatible, live and fully integrated

Manufacturer-independent machine data acquisition for real transparency in production

Whether an old CNC machine or a state-of-the-art system – our MDA software adapts to your machinery. GNT MDA records machine data in real time, processes it automatically and visualizes it live on the store floor. This creates the basis for data-based decisions, increases transparency and measurably boosts your productivity.

Our MDA solution grows with your production – flexible, compatible, future-proof.

Frequently asked questions about MDA

What does machine data acquisition (MDA) mean?

Machine data acquisition (MDA) refers to the automated collection, storage and evaluation of data from production machines. This includes, for example, information on machine statuses, running times, faults, quantities or energy consumption.
The aim of MDC is to bring transparency to the production process, uncover productivity potential and create the basis for evaluations, key figures (e.g. OEE) and optimizations. Modern MDC systems can be integrated into existing IT landscapes (e.g. MES, ERP) and provide usable data for workers, foremen and management in real time.

GNT MDA can be flexibly integrated into a wide variety of machine and system landscapes. Among other things, it supports

  • PLC controls from various manufacturers
  • OPC UA – the open communication standard for Industry 4.0
  • MTConnect – standardized interface, especially in the CNC area
  • Beckhoff – including TwinCAT connection
  • LAN, USB, RS232 – for older or individually connected systems

In addition, connection to higher-level systems such as MES, ERP or CAD/CAM is also possible without any problems. This creates a continuous flow of data from the store floor to management.
